Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to exchange views on the situation in the Middle East on March 23.

Lavrov said that the situation in the Middle East had deteriorated significantly due to the "aggressive" actions of the US and Israel. Lavrov emphasized that potential attacks by the US and Israel on Iranian nuclear facilities, including the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, are unacceptable. Such actions not only threaten human safety but also have serious environmental consequences for the region.

In addition, both foreign ministers expressed concern that the conflict might spread further.
