Late Equalizer Earns MAS a Point Against RS Berkane
Rabat – RS Berkane were held to a 1-1 draw by Maghreb Fes today at Berkane Municipal Stadium in matchday 14 of the Botola Pro.
The home side started the match putting on the pressure early, controlling possession due to the home advantage.
Their efforts paid off in the 21st minute when Hamza El Moussaoui converted a penalty to give Berkane the lead and put pressure on MAS.
After the break, MAS responded with greater intensity. The visitors found spaces and began to create more chances, in search of an equalizer.
Their efforts paid off in the second half, when Soufiane Benjdida scored to bring the MAS back to the game.
Both teams pushed for a winner in the closing stages, but neither managed to score the decisive goal. as the match ended in a share of the points.
The result leaves Berkane in 5th place with 26 points, while MAS remained in 4th place with 28 points, holding a game in hand.
