كوريا تقدم مليوني دولار كمساعدات إنسانية طارئة للبنان

أعلنت سفارة كوريا في لبنان ببيان، أن حكومة بلادها "قررت تقديم مبلغ 2 مليون دولار أميركي كمساعدات إنسانية طارئة، وذلك استجابة للاحتياجات الإنسانية في لبنان".

وأشار البيان الى أن "هذه المساهمة تعكس التزام جمهورية كوريا بدعم المتضررين من الأزمة، لا سيما العدد المتزايد من النازحين اللبنانيين داخليا الذين يواجهون تدهورا في ظروفهم المعيشية".

وأكد سفير كوريا في لبنان غيوسوك جون أن بلاده "تقف متضامنة بلا تردد مع الشعب اللبناني خلال هذا الوقت الصعب". وقال: "نحن نقدم مساعدة طارئة فورية لتلبية الاحتياجات الإنسانية العاجلة، مما يعكس التزامنا العميق كشركاء. ونعد بمواصلة الدعم لمساعدة لبنان على تجاوز هذه الصعوبات وبناء مستقبل أكثر إشراقا".

ولفت البيان الى أنه "سيتم تقديم المساعدة من خلال وكالات رئيسية تابعة للأمم المتحدة، بما في ذلك اليونيسف (مليون دولار أميركي) والمفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين (600 ألف دولار أميركي)، لضمان استجابة سريعة وفعالة على أرض الواقع. علاوة على ذلك، سيتم تمويل 600 مليون وون كوري من المساعدة من خلال برنامج المساعدة الخارجية الطارئة التابع لبرنامج "الاستجابة السريعة ومبادرة الشراكة من أجل برامج الكوارث".

وذكر البيان أن "حكومة جمهورية كوريا تؤكد مجددا تضامنها مع الشعب اللبناني في هذه الظروف الصعبة، كما تظل ملتزمة بالمساهمة في الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى التخفيف من المعاناة الإنسانية وتعزيز الاستقرار في المنطقة".
