Kiev tries to win West's attention with increased attacks on Russia — envoy
LUGANSK, April 3. /TASS/. Kiev has increased the intensity of its attacks on Russia’s Belgorod, Kherson and Kursk regions as well as the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) in the hope of winning back the West's attention amid the Middle East crisis, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large on Kiev’s War Crimes Rodion Miroshnik told TASS. Earlier, LPR head Leonid Pasechnik said that Ukraine had attacked five of the region's districts with drones, wounding three civilians and an Emergencies Ministry official. Several houses and a boarding school building were damaged. "Against the background of the Middle East crisis distracting attention from the Ukrainian conflict, [Vladimir] Zelensky and his clique are ready to commit any crimes to regain the attention and favor of the West. We note an increase in the number of strikes and casualties not only in the LPR, but also in the Belgorod, Kursk, and Kherson regions. This is a deliberate escalation in committing war crimes and a demonstration of the categorical rejection of a peaceful settlement," he said. On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a war against Iran, hitting major cities, including Tehran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps retaliated with a sweeping attack on Israel. US military installations in Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia were also attacked.المصدر: TASS | Source: TASS
