World Kenyan court blocks opening of U.S. Ebola quarantine center on air base May 29, 2026 / 7:08 AM EDT / CBS/AFP Add CBS News on Google Nairobi — A Kenyan court on Friday temporarily halted the opening of an Ebola quarantine center for U.S. nationals following a petition filed by a rights group. The facility had been due to open Friday in Kenya, according to U.S. officials, to quarantine Americans arriving from the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is battling a major Ebola outbreak.
