Kensington Gardens shut as police 'assess items'9 minutes agoShareSaveAdd as preferred on GooglePA MediaThe gardens have been closed for the day, the Royal Parks saidThe gardens have been closed for the day, the Royal Parks saidPolice are "assessing a number of discarded items" in London's Kensington Gardens after a video was shared online in which a group claimed to have targeted the nearby Embassy of Israel with drones carrying dangerous substances.The Metropolitan Police said the embassy had not been attacked and officers were investigating the source and authenticity of the footage.The Royal Parks has closed the gardens for the day and police cordons are in place as officers wearing protective clothing carry out their investigation.The force said it recognises "this may concern local residents and the wider public but we do not believe there to be any increased public safety risk".
