Kaye Adams says she's 'kicking herself' she didn't leave BBC Radio Scotland before she was axed amid bullying claims as she helps launch Vanessa Feltz's new YouTube show

The presenter, 63, helped Vanessa Feltz, 64, kick off her new YouTube show, At Home With Vanessa.  In the first episode, which dropped on Saturday, Kaye admitted she regrets not walking away from the show which she helmed for 15 years as she was 'very unhappy'.  She told Vanessa: 'I probably allowed myself to drift into 60 thinking that I could keep everything the same and actually, I should have made some decisions in that I was very unhappy where I was. 'I should have left but I was scared and I kicked myself for that.' Vanessa said: 'Oh really? Because I mean people who've been reading about you, which really people haven't been able to avoid doing in the last however about your the vicissitudes, I'm going to call them, of your career, will maybe not think that. Kaye Adams has admitted she should have left her BBC Radio Scotland show years ago, way before bullying allegations saw her axed from the £155K-a-year job on the Vanessa Feltz show  'They will maybe think you were really happy and um you know, they gave you the big E and you didn't want them to, but actually you wish you'd gone anyway earlier, do you?' Keeping coy, Kaye replied: 'Yeah and you're a great journalist, Vanessa, but unfortunately so am I. So I'm not going to say anything about that. But yes, that is the truth and that has been my epiphany.' Kaye was removed from her BBC Radio Scotland show in October after she faced complaints of misconduct, including allegations that she swore at a colleague, threw a pen and berated an intern. In February, it was revealed that Kaye would not be returning to the BBC after it reportedly upheld some allegations but dismissed others. In a statement posted on Instagram, Kaye profusely denied the allegations made against her. ‘I’ve tried to keep a dignified silence, but these attacks on my character are now so persistent, they can no longer go unchallenged,’ she wrote.  ‘I categorically deny using a misogynistic slur 14 years ago, and I’m horrified at its invention more than a decade later. It is absolutely not a word I would have used. ‘As for “berating an intern”, this is simply untrue. Regarding the allegation that I threw a pencil while alone in an empty studio, words fail me.  'I am heartbroken that 15 years of hard work and dedication to BBC Scotland is being reduced to this.’ ITV has stood by Kaye in the aftermath of the row with the BBC. Vanessa appeared in high spirits as she was seen heading to film her new YouTube series with a sweet treat in hand  The presenter cut a summery figure in a strapless floral dress  The presenter, 63, helped Vanessa Feltz kick off her new YouTube show, At Home With Vanessa Vanessa, meanwhile, has started her own YouTube show after her Channel 5 daytime show was axed.  It was revealed in June that bosses 'blindsided' the presenter when they made the decision to axe her chat show after just one year on air. A determined Vanessa told viewers in her final episode last month that she 'is not going to hide under a rock'.  The star then announced her new social media show which will be filmed at her home with her friends.   She wrote: 'Welcome to ‘At Home with Vanessa’ a brand spanking new show coming to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and the universe in mid-August.  'Filmed at Feltz Towers - my real house, with my real chums, bottomless bagels and cocktails on tap, I’m hoping you’ll pop over to Vanessa Feltz on YouTube, subscribe for free, get on board and thoroughly enjoy the ride.'
