By JOE TACOPINO FOR DAILYMAIL.COM Published: 00:02, 30 April 2026 | Updated: 00:03, 30 April 2026 A Democratic candidate for California governor has been blasted for sending a profanity-laced anti-Trump email to supporters one day after the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Katie Porter sent an email laced with multiple 'F*** Trump' references just hours after a gunman allegedly stormed through the lobby of the Washington hotel with the intent to assassinate the president. 'Today, I wanna start with one simple, powerful message we all agree on,' read the email, according to Fox News Digital. 'Say it with me. Ready, 1 … 2 … 3 … F*** Trump.' The missive continued: 'Yeah, that’s right, F*** Trump. Together, we’re going to kick Trump's a** in November and stop him in his tracks.' Just hours earlier, gunman Cole Tomas Allen tried to run through a security checkpoint while armed to the teeth. Allen has been charged with trying to target Trump and other members of his administration. A spokesman for the Republican National Committee seized on Porter's email as an example of why she should not run for governor. 'Katie Porter is a degenerate loser who is sick in the head, and it's telling that failing Democrat candidates think their path to victory is to fan the flames of violence right after an assassination attempt,' Nick Poche told Fox News Digital.  Katie Porter sent an email laced with multiple 'F*** Trump' references just hours after a gunman allegedly stormed through the lobby of the Washington hotel with the intent to assassinate the president Cole Tomas Allen tried to run through a security checkpoint while armed to the teeth. Ready, 1 … 2 … 3 … F*** Trump' 'The Democrat Party has completely lost its mind, and anyone who refuses to condemn Porter's remarks is just as responsible for the rise in left-wing political violence as Porter is.'  Fox also pointed out the conservative writer Bethany Mandel offered her own hyperbolic take with a whataboutism.   'Imagine Barack Obama surviving three assassination attempts and 18 hours later, a Republican sent a fundraising email like this,' she wrote on X. Porter's poorly-timed email comes as left-wing celebrities are under attack for their constant attacks on the President Trump. The outrage comes after late night host Jimmy Kimmel was criticized for claiming the First Lady looked like 'an expectant widow' days before the WHCD.   The comedian has said the joke was a reference to the 24-year age gap between Melania, 56, and Donald Trump, who will turn 80 in June.   Trump blasted the joke as 'beyond the pale' and called for Kimmel to be 'immediately fired by Disney and ABC', while MAGA loyalists described it as 'sick and tasteless'. Donald Trump blasted Jimmy Kimmel's joke as 'beyond the pale' and called for the comedian to be 'immediately fired by Disney and ABC', while the president's fans described it as 'sick' Kimmel in his skit from last Thursday's show, in which he joked about the glitzy DC event Kimmel's sketch where he called Melania an 'expectant widow' involved a parody of the White House Correspondents' Association dinner two days before the event. 'Our First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow,' Kimmel said before turning his attention to the First Lady's birthday. 'You know, Melania's birthday is on Sunday. She's planning to celebrate at home the same way she always does, looking out a window and whispering, "What have I done?"'  Melania responded by slamming 'Kimmel's hateful and violent rhetoric' which she claimed was 'intended to divide our country'. 'His monologue about my family isn't comedy - his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America,' the First Lady wrote on X Monday morning. She called on ABC to 'take a stand' against Kimmel, while the president went further by saying he should be 'immediately fired'.  'I appreciate that so many people are incensed by Kimmel’s despicable call to violence, and normally would not be responsive to anything that he said but, this is something far beyond the pale,' he wrote on Truth Social.  'Jimmy Kimmel should be immediately fired by Disney and ABC.' The Trump-aligned Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is expected to officially challenge Disney's eight licenses for its ABC stations on Tuesday afternoon, according to CNN's Chief Media Analyst Brian Stelter.   MAGA loyalists echoed the outrage on social media, with some slamming the joke as 'sick and tasteless' while others decried Kimmel as 'evil'.   On Monday evening, Kimmel doubled down on his joke, saying it was clearly pertaining to the 'age difference' between Trump and his wife, not an assassination.  He also condemned the shooting attempt at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner while offering condolences to everyone impacted.   The comments below have not been moderated.
