The goalkeeper was stretchered off in a neck brace during the game with Palermo.‌In a statement, Cesena, managed by former England full-back Ashley Cole, confirmed that the player suffered a neck fracture and a cut to the back of the head. He will miss the club’s three remaining games of the season.‌The injury is also likely to rule him out of selection for the USA national team for this summer’s World Cup.
