Rosenior was let go just three months into a six-year contract on Wednesday after losing five successive Premier League matches.‌Rosenior was brought over from Chelsea's sister club Strasbourg in January to replace Enzo Maresca but was dismissed after Tuesday's abject 3-0 defeat away to Brighton. The club's hierarchy have acted, appointing under-21s coach Calum MacFarlane until the end of the season.‌A club statement said: "As the club works to bring stability to the head coach position, we will undertake a process of self-reflection to make the right long-term appointment."‌Chelsea's executives held a meeting on Wednesday over the next step, with the team now sitting eighth in the Premier League - outside the qualification places for any European football next season.
