Johanna Walsh cruises to Irish Oaks win at CurraghImage source, InphoImage caption, Winning horse Johanna Walsh was ridden by Dylan Browne McMonaglePublished28 minutes agoJohanna Walsh romped to an emphatic win in the Irish Oaks at The Curragh after stablemate Thundering On was declared a non-runner on Saturday morning.Thundering On had been fancied to complete a classic double for trainer Joseph O'Brien after blowing away the opposition in the Oaks at Epsom in June.Johanna Walsh was a well-backed 7-2 shot under jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle and pulled clear of a previously closely bunched pack from two furlongs out to win by four lengths from Inis Mor (11/2), with Sparan Nua (8/1) third."It was straightforward from the get-go.
