The price of Brent crude, the international benchmark that influences the price of U.S. gasoline prices, was above $114 this morning, up nearly 25% from the recent low seen on April 17 and not far from the four-year high of $119 in 2022, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.A day earlier, AAA recorded the biggest single-day increase in more than a month, with prices rising $0.07.
