By RAVEN SAUNT, US LIFESTYLE EDITOR Ivanka Trump wowed in a timeless pastel maxi dress as she attended the state dinner on Tuesday evening. The mom-of-three made a rare appearance in Washington, DC, as part of King Charles and Queen Camilla's continued state visit. She joined her family at the White House for the formal festivities hosted by father President Donald Trump and stepmom Melania Trump. The 44-year-old, who previously ditched DC for Miami, stunned in a sky-blue gown that boasted mesh long sleeves, a cape and silver embellishments around the cuffs, waist and neckline. Ivanka wore her bleached blonde tresses in curls before sweeping them over one shoulder as she posed for photographs. She opted for a bold makeup look with a dark smokey eye which the Daily Mail understands was created by her long-time beauty stylist Alexa Rodulfo. Ivanka teased her ensemble to her 8.8 million followers on Instagram before making her way to the event. Her most recent political appearance was at State of the Union in February but she was noticeably absent from the premiere for stepmom Melania's feature film premiere just a few weeks prior.  Ivanka Trump wowed in a timeless pastel maxi dress as she attended the state dinner on Tuesday evening Over the years, there have always been rumors of a rift between Ivanka and Melania, especially as Trump was elected for his first term in 2016.  However, the First Lady addressed the speculation in her 2024 memoir, Melania, as she opened up about her relationship with her stepchildren. When Melania married her husband in January 2005, he already had four kids from his previous marriages: daughter Ivanka, and sons Donald Jr., 48, and Eric 42, whom he had with ex Ivana, as well as daughter Tiffany, 32, whom he shares with Marla Maples. After Melania wed Donald, they welcomed their first and only child together in 2006, 19-year-old son Barron.  'Stepping into a marriage with Donald, I found myself navigating the intricate dynamics of his big family,' Melania wrote in her memoir. 'It demanded flexibility and openness, but each moment was a chance to connect, learn, and grow in this new environment.' She explained that by the time she had married Trump, many of her stepchildren had already become 'more independent,' and while Tiffany was in her 'formative years,' she was living with her mother in California. 'My approach to building relationships with Donald's children has always been grounded in love and respect,' Melania wrote. Ivanka's most recent political appearance alongside her family was at State of the Union in February 'I recognize their individuality, understanding that, as their stepmother, my role is not to replace their mothers but to nurture a supportive and amicable connection,' she continued. 'This perspective has enabled me to cultivate meaningful relationships with each child in a unique way.' Ivanka appears to still be close with her siblings and earlier this month attended Bettina Anderson's bridal shower ahead of her nuptials to Don Jr. Sharing pictures alongside her soon-to-be sister-in-law from the event, she wrote: 'Celebrated love, family, and new beginnings at Bettina's bridal shower this weekend. 'So grateful to share in this joyous moment with Arabella, Lara, and Tiffany (and of course Don Jr!)' The comments below have not been moderated.
