Tajani, bazı üye ülkelerin, AB-İsrail Ortaklık Anlaşması'nın tamamen ya da kısmen askıya alınmasını önerdiğini hatırlatarak, "İsrail ile ticaret anlaşmasının askıya alınması önerisi kesin olarak bir kenara bırakıldı. 11 Mayıs'ta yapılacak bir sonraki bakanlar toplantısında atılabilecek diğer girişimler konuşulacak ve bunları değerlendireceğiz." dedi. İtalya olarak İsrail ile savunma alanındaki mutabakatın otomatik yenilenmesini durdurduklarını dile getiren Tajani, "Baskı yapıyoruz, ancak bu baskı sivil halka değil, hükümete yönelik olmalıdır. İspanya'dan farklı bir tutumumuz var, çünkü onların yaklaşımı bize doğru yol gibi görünmüyor. Bizim tutumumuz Almanya ile aynıdır." diye konuştu. Tajani, AB-İsrail anlaşmasını durdurmak yerine şiddet yanlısı yasa dışı yerleşimcilere yaptırımların getirilmesinin daha iyi olduğunu kaydetti. Bakan Tajani ayrıca, "Batı Şeria'daki yerleşimcilerin tutumunu kınıyoruz. İsrail'in Batı Şeria topraklarının herhangi bir kısmını ilhak etmesine kesinlikle karşıyız." ifadelerini kullandı.
