İnsan Hakları İçin Doktorlar Örgütü (PHRI) verilerine göre, İsrail'in Ekim 2023'ten bu yana Gazze Şeridi'ne yönelik saldırılarıyla eş zamanlı olarak, Filistinli esirlere uygulanan tecrit yöntemlerinin sistematik bir ivme kazandığına işaret edildi. Ayrıca, cezai tecridin, tutukluları cezalandırmak ve hapishane düzenini sağlamak amacıyla merkezi bir araç olarak kullanılmasına yönelik geniş çaplı bir dönüşüm yaşandığı vurgulandı. Geçen yıllara oranla "sarsıcı" bir artışın görüldüğü belirtilen raporda, 2022 yılında tecrit edilen çocuk sayısı 1 iken, bu rakamın 2024'te yüzde 19 bin 800 artarak 199'a çıktığı aktarıldı. Tecrit cezası verilen Filistinli kadın esirlerin sayısının ise 2022'de 2 iken, 2024'te yüzde 1150 artarak 25'e yükseldiği kaydedildi. Ekim 2023'ten bu yana yaygınlık kazanan bu uygulamanın sistematik açlık, işkence ve tıbbi ihmal iddialarıyla birleşerek Filistinli esirler için ağır bir insan hakları ihlali teşkil etmenin ötesinde, bir "sessiz imha" yöntemine dönüştüğü ifade edildi.
