Israel updates its 'target bank' in Iran as war expected to resume

ALBAWABA - The two-week ceasefire deal between Iran, the United States and Israel is on the brink of collapsing as peace talks failed to reach a breakthrough until this moment. Several Israeli military and political sources said the army is on high alert in anticipation of a collapse of the ceasefire with Iran.

Additionally, the Israeli army announced updating its target bank in Iran in line with the army's alert for the possible resumption of war with Iran. On March 7, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a two-week ceasefire deal with Iran after mediation by Pakistan.

Maariv newspaper quoted a military source, "We and the Americans are prepared for the possibility of the ceasefire with Iran collapsing suddenly."

The official added that the target bank has been updated and that the military intelligence division is monitoring what is happening in Iran, explaining that Iranian energy facilities would be among those targets in the event of renewed fighting.

On the other hand, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said that Iran had made great progress in the field of air defense between last year's 12-day war and the recent war, adding that US President Donald Trump "asked for a ceasefire because we were victorious on the battlefield."
