Israel kills Alireza Tangsiri, responsible for the Strait of Hormuz closure

ALBAWABA - The Israeli army announced the killing of Iranian naval official Alireza Tangsiri, who is the main person behind the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Israeli Channel 12 reported on Thursday that the army assassinated the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's naval forces, Alireza Tangsiri.

The Jerusalem Post reported, citing an informed source, that the commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy was killed in a strike in Bandar Abbas.

However, Iran has not made any comment yet regarding the strike on Bandar Abbas.

The war between Israel, Iran and the United States began when Washington and Tel Aviv launched a preemptive attack against Tehran on Feb. 28, killing many leaders in the Iranian army in addition to the then-supreme leader Ali Khamenei and several members of his family. However, his son, Mojtaba, who was elected as the new supreme leader of the country.

In response, the Iranian army launched an attack targeting Israel and American assets in the Middle East.
