Iran posts first video of Mojtaba Khamenei inside military operations room
ALBAWABA - A video has been circulating online, reportedly showing Mojtaba Khamenei walking inside a military operations room for the first time since his appointment as the new supreme leader of Iran after the death of his father, Ali Khamenei.
Ali Khamenei was killed in an Israeli-US airstrike on Tehran on Feb. 28, the first day of war. In the same attack, Mojtaba was injured, and since then, he has never made a public appearance at all, which raised concern.
In addition, Tehran’s ambassador to Cyprus, Alireza Salarian, said that six members of Mojtaba Khamenei's family were killed in the February attack.
Iran posts first video of Mojtaba Khamenei inside military operations room
Iranian accounts on X posted unconfirmed footage showing Mojtaba Khamenei entering a military operations room for the first time. However, it was not clear if the video is real, considering that some Israeli sources revealed that the injury of Mojtaba Khamenei is very serious and he can't move.
The clip allegedly shows the new supreme leader of Iran walking into a military operations room with a large image of the Dimona nuclear reactor site in Israel, along with its coordinates in the room.
The video was first shared by Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaghari, the spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya, which is a key unit within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). He wrote, "Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, from the war room."
However, Grok said that the video was created by Artificial Intelligence (AI). It wrote under the clip, "Yes, it's an AI-generated video. Multiple fact-checks (Hindustan Times, Times Now, MEAWW) confirm no official Iranian state media release, with clear synthetic signs: heavy blurring on personnel, glitchy rainbow transitions, unnatural lighting, and cinematic staging. The Dimona map is real imagery, but the whole scene is fabricated propaganda."
