Iran can't have unilateral control over Hormuz - Arab League secretary general
RABAT, April 2. /TASS/. The international community cannot agree to unilateral Iranian control over shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, Secretary General of the League of Arab States (LAS), Ahmed Aboul Gheit, has asserted. "The international community will not accept unilateral Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz," Aboul Gheit said as quoted by Al Hadath TV channel. In the opinion of the LAS Secretary General, "the draft document on freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz proposed by the Gulf Cooperation Council should be supported." According to him, Tehran "is acting irrationally, and its attacks on the Gulf countries are proof of this." Aboul Gheit emphasized that "no one has asked any LAS member to sever relations with Iran.".المصدر: TASS | Source: TASS
