GREEN BAY, Wis. — Pre-draft press conferences are often useless ventures since general managers keep their cards close to the vest, but it turns out Green Bay Packers GM Brian Gutekunst hinted at exactly what he was going to do.He said Tuesday that Green Bay’s cornerback room needed the most bodies of any position on the team. With his first pick, at No. 52 in the second round, he took South Carolina cornerback Brandon Cisse. He also said that the Packers had a specific appetite on the defensive line for a true nose tackle. With his second pick, he traded up seven spots to No. 77 to select Missouri nose tackle Chris McClellan and gave the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the second of Green Bay’s two fifth-round picks this year in the process.Advertisement
