Kimberly Guilfoyle, seething that her then-fiancé Don Jr dumped her for the much younger Palm Beach socialite, allegedly reached out to Bettina's own ex-fiancé, billionaire Wrigley chewing gum heir William 'Beau' Wrigley, to hatch a plot for revenge, multiple sources have revealed. 'When they found out that Don and Bettina were dating, Kimberly and Beau teamed up to break them up,' said a source close to the situation. 'It was the most unholy of alliances, let's just put it that way.'  Their plan: To spread the word that Palm Beach socialite Bettina was a social climber, pursuing the president's son not for love but for wealth, celebrity, and power. According to this source, Guilfoyle, 57, and Wrigley, 62, met in December 2024 to discuss tactics, around the same time their exes were exclusively photographed holding hands by the Daily Mail. Weeks later, Guilfoyle and Wrigley were seen dancing together at a fundraiser Wrigley was co-chairing at the trendy Breakers in Palm Beach. Guilfoyle, who still co-owns a home in Jupiter, Florida, with Don Jr, was nursing humiliation after their relationship was formally called off to the public. 'She is wild with jealousy about Bettina and has since made every effort to make sure she is seen with wealthy men, very heavy hitters.' The Daily Mail reached out to Guilfoyle, Wrigley, Don Jr and Bettina for comment.  A Bettina insider shared: 'All this story really shows is just how jealous and petty Guilfoyle really is.' But a source close to Guilfoyle told the Daily Mail that Wrigley had reached out to her, not the other way around. He apparently shared concerns he had from his previous relationship with Bettina, including serious issues he felt Don 'should be aware of.' Wrigley has not responded to the comment request. The Daily Mail first exposed Don Jr's budding romance with Bettina in August 2024, reporting that the couple was seen locking lips during an intimate brunch date when he was publicly engaged to Guilfoyle.  Meanwhile, Kimberly and Don Jr were putting on a front of togetherness, appearing together at presidential campaign events. Beau started dating author Sue Hostetler (above) soon after his split from Bettina. They married but the union ended in divorce last year Wrigley was nursing his own fresh wounds when he met up with Guilfoyle at the fundraiser in Palm Beach in February 2025. Days earlier, he had separated from his third wife, author Sue Hostetler, whom he started dating shortly after his breakup with Bettina.  Hostetler served as co-chair to the annual Everglades Foundation gala that night but was a no-show. This led to some curious stares among guests, who weren't aware of Wrigley's breakup and saw him 'bumping and grinding' with Guilfoyle on the dance floor, an eyewitness said. Sources tell the Daily Mail the encounter was hardly romantic; the only thing the two had in common was ill-will toward Bettina and the Trump scion Guilfoyle had planned to wed. According to insiders, the pair helped facilitate some of the negative media coverage about the new lovebirds that ensued – mostly about Bettina. Their Palm Beach contacts were eager to spread the word about Bettina's family scandals and portray her as a calculating social climber intent on manipulating wealthy men to support her socialite lifestyle. A Palm Beach socialite who's known Bettina since childhood told the Daily Mail: 'Kim got in contact with all of us. Don Jr and Bettina were first spotted together on August 17, 2024, when the Daily Mail published explosive photographs of them enjoying brunch together in Palm Beach, sparking speculation that he had moved on from fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle A few weeks after the photos Don Jr and Bettina's August 2024 rendezvous emerged, Kimberly Guilfoyle remained committed to standing by her man at a campaign event in Kentucky  The negative buzz about Bettina didn't affect the couple's decision to move their romance forward, first getting engaged and eventually tying the knot. Don Jr, 48, married Bettina, 39, in a private ceremony in West Palm Beach and then hosted a lavish ceremony last month on the private island of Little Pipe Cay in the Bahamas. The Daily Mail has revealed that the couple now can't wait to start a family, and that this time around, Bettina did sign a prenup. That was the sticking point that led Wrigley to end his own engagement to Bettina back in 2017, insiders tell the Daily Mail. Pictures from that year show Bettina wearing the diamond engagement ring Wrigley bought her. A former staffer at Wrigley's home depicted Bettina as genuinely into not just the extravagance of his life but also Wrigley himself, and said the billionaire initially saw her as little more than a 'rebound relationship' after divorcing his second wife. 'Beau had just gotten divorced and Bettina was this young, hot girl in the area,' the ex-staffer told the Daily Mail.  'I think she was genuinely into him and the relationship, and he wasn't.' 'Bettina put a lot of effort into creating a genuine family environment,' the source added. 'She's very close with her family and Beau is not and isolates himself.' Another insider described the Wrigley/Anderson relationship as 'fast and furious.' 'She pushed to get engaged very quickly,' another source told the Daily Mail of the then-30-year-old. 'So, they did get engaged. Then she wouldn't sign the prenup.' They were planning to marry in Ireland and had already sent out invitations detailing the extravagant, multi-day celebration. The split between Bettina and Beau, pictured together on vacation during their relationship, centered on disagreements over a prenuptial agreement, according to sources 'It was like a five-night affair, and it was very prescriptive with specific different dress colors and dress lengths and themes each night of the Ireland wedding,' a third source said. 'That was Bettina's influence.' Weeks before their big day, Wrigley, who, according to Forbes is worth $3.6 billion, demanded Bettina sign a prenup to protect his fortune in the event of a divorce. When she refused, sources tell us, he promptly canceled the wedding. 'He wrote an email in the middle of the night to everybody invited to the wedding saying the wedding is off,' one guest told the Daily Mail. He also kicked her out of his $98 million estate in North Palm Beach and had her give up various perks of their relationship, including access to his fleet of luxury cars, yacht, credit cards, credentials, and club memberships.  He even dispatched a staff member to retrieve the ring, insiders say. 'The way he went about breaking up with her was cruel and awful,' one source told the Daily Mail. The negative buzz about Bettina didn't affect the couple's decision to move their romance forward, getting engaged in April 'She was heartbroken,' the former staffer said. Wrigley, who has three children with his first wife, Kandis Hanson and a fourth with his second wife, There's Something About Mary actress Heather Ann Rosbeck, quickly moved on. Just a few months after breaking up with Bettina, he started dating Hostetler. The pair married in 2021 and divorced in early 2025. Meanwhile, as Don Jr and Bettina's relationship grew, Guilfoyle got dispatched by President Trump to serve as US Ambassador to Greece. She still owns the $17.5 million home in Jupiter with her ex-fiancé.
