By KARLEIGH SMITH, SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 13:18, 6 June 2026 | Updated: 13:18, 6 June 2026 The influencer girlfriend of late Olympian Alex 'Chumpy' Pullin is making a name for herself in the Queensland property flipping world. And it's partly thanks to Chumpy's humble first home, which she inherited for $0. Ellidy Pullin, who took Chumpy's surname after he died during a freak spearfishing accident in July 2020, marked her first night in a new home on Monday with partner Brock Wadsworth. Ellidy purchased a $3.15million beachside development in the Gold Coast's Palm Beach in May last year, and lodged plans for two residences with infinity pools, saunas, ice baths and rooftop entertaining spaces. While she and Brock, a building company director, have only been publicly dating since December, it is understood he is involved in the project. It is unclear whether this is the property the couple has moved into. It comes after Ellidy offloaded a nearby two-bedroom, one-bathroom unit on Jefferson Lane, which she bought in 2023 for $900,000, renovated and rented out as an Airbnb, before listing it for sale in October last year for $1,250,000. The apartment ended up selling for $50,000 less than its asking price - understandable given it was being sold with an ocean view that will soon be obscured by a house being built on the beachfront block in front of it. Ellidy, who has forged a career as an influencer and podcast host since Chumpy's death, is becoming quite the Queensland property mogul as she carves out a future for herself and her daughter, Minnie Alex Pullin. Chumpy Pullin, seen with Ellidy, drowned while spearfishing on the Gold Coast in 2020 Ellidy is now in a new relationship with Queensland builder Brock Wadsworth An artist's rendering of Ellidy's $3.15million duplex plans, which will feature pools and saunas Minnie was born in 2021 after Ellidy posthumously harvested Chumpy's sperm with permission from his father Chris and mother Sally, who died of cancer early last year. Property records indicate her property empire all began with the real estate smarts of her late partner, who, the Daily Mail understands, died without a will. Two-time snowboard-cross world champion Chumpy was born in Mansfield, Victoria, and raised between there and Eden, on the NSW South Coast. He later moved to Sydney and purchased a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in Dee Why, on the Northern Beaches, for $600,000 in 2013. At the time, he was about 25 and had been living at home with his parents when he wasn't globetrotting for the sport that made him a household name among Winter Olympics aficionados. The Mail understands Chumpy's parents helped him with the deposit. Shortly after moving to Sydney, he met Ellidy, a local girl who had grown up in Narrabeen. The pair fell in love after dancing together at a house party. It wasn't long before Ellidy, then in her early 20s and working in retail, moved into her new boyfriend's apartment. Ellidy posthumously conceived Chumpy's daughter Minnie after harvesting his sperm Chumpy was a world-champion snowboard cross rider who represented Australia at the Winter Olympics Chumpy owned his first home, a humble two-bedroom apartment in Sydney's Dee Why In 2014, she boasted to the media that she lived with Chumpy just 300m from the beach. In reality, it was closer to 800m. While the property wasn't in Ellidy's name, Chumpy was serious about their future together and took a 'what's mine is yours' approach to his financial asset, the Mail understands. A few years later, the couple decided to move north to Queensland, where they could buy a house for the same price as an apartment in the booming Sydney market. In 2018, the couple purchased a stunning four-bedroom, two-bathroom home with a pool in Elanora, on the Gold Coast, for $935,000, which they jointly owned. Chumpy kept the Dee Why apartment as an investment, and records show it was leased to a tenant in 2019 for $700 per week. Less than a year after becoming a first-time landlord, Chumpy would die while spearfishing off Palm Beach, Queensland, after suffering an underwater blackout. Images of Ellidy's raw grief as she clung to Chumpy's parents during a paddle-out in his honour broke hearts across Australia. At the suggestion of her brother and friends, Ellidy - who then had the last name Vlug but would soon adopt Pullin - sought Chris and Sally's permission to harvest Chumpy's sperm. They agreed, knowing the couple had been trying to start a family. Ellidy wrote in her memoir of putting her late partner's sperm 'on shelf above her grief' as she began to pick up the pieces of her shattered life, which also included the passing of her father from brain cancer. After leaving Dee Why, the couple then found their dream home in Elanora on the Gold Coast But their love story was tragically cut short; Ellidy is seen at a paddle-out in Chumpy's honour Chumpy's devastated father Chris Pullin is pictured with Ellidy at the ceremony Four months after Chumpy died, Ellidy began making real estate moves. Property data shows the Dee Why apartment was transferred to Ellidy Vlug in November 2020. Despite Chumpy never having a will, she inherited his assets under Queensland succession law as his de facto spouse. Chumpy's parents, who fell out with Ellidy in the years after his death but at the time had a good relationship with her, did not contest the will. She welcomed baby Minnie via IVF in October 2021, and soon after legally changed her name to Pullin, despite not being married to Chumpy, to share the same last name as her daughter. In 2024, she began to sever all remaining property ties with Chumpy. First, in March, she sold the Dee Why apartment for $1,103,000 - almost double the price Chumpy had paid for it as a young man. The following month, the couple's Elanora home hit the market for $1,760,000. In 2023, Ellidy bought and renovated a Palm Beach apartment before selling it last year Ellidy flipped the apartment, which was rented out as an Airbnb, for a tidy profit 'I've decided it's time to downsize,' Ms Pullin said on her podcast, Darling, Shine!. 'I'm just feeling bogged down... I said I'd never sell or move from this house. I feel so sad... but it's time.' Images of Ellidy, Minnie and Chumpy's beloved dog Rummi featured heavily in the real estate agent's marketing campaign. Now, with her earnings as an influencer and a strong property portfolio - assisted by the $1.3million profit from the sale of her two homes with Chumpy - Ellidy is well on her way to a secure financial future. Alongside ending her financial ties to Chumpy, it has also been suggested she has distanced herself from his family. In January, Chris revealed to the Mail his bitter falling-out with his late son's partner over the now-defunct charity that was established in his honour following his death. In 2024, a letter from Chris and Sally accused the Chumpy Pullin Foundation of straying from its founding principles. The grieving father said the foundation - which closed in December 2024, about two years after it was established with Chris and Sally's permission - was 'not fulfilling its claim of upholding Chumpy's ideals' after shifting away from its original mission to help kids excel in sport and instead reinventing itself as a mental health charity. Chumpy with his parents Sally (now deceased) and Chris at their home in Eden, NSW Ellidy recently moved into a home with boyfriend Brock, whom she has been publicly dating since December This dispute over the charity allegedly caused an estrangement between the Pullins and Ellidy. After sending the email to the charity's board, which received no response, Chris alleged that Ellidy 'blocked' both him and Sally. Chris claims he has not seen Minnie since the falling-out with Ellidy in 2024. Sally died in Chris's arms at their home in Eden in April 2025 after a battle with central nervous system lymphoma, a rare and aggressive blood cancer. Chris said the estrangement from Ellidy 'broke Sally's heart', adding that it was 'hurtful' that Minnie, now four, never got to know her grandmother beyond infancy. Chris declined to comment on Ellidy's real estate ventures. A representative for Ellidy was contacted for comment. No comments have so far been submitted.
