India: Woman’s blood-written clue leads police to suspect

New Delhi: In a chilling case from Pune, a woman allegedly wrote the name of her attacker in blood moments after her throat was slit — a final act that helped police identify the prime suspect, reported to be a man she knew personally.

According to NDTV, the woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found critically injured inside her home. Investigators say that despite her wounds, she managed to write the attacker’s name on the floor before collapsing.

Police later traced the name to a man reported to have been in a relationship with the victim. Authorities suspect a personal dispute may have led to the attack, though investigations are ongoing.

The suspect has since been detained for questioning, according to local media reports, while forensic teams continue to examine evidence from the crime scene.
