Passengers were thanked for their patience after the Cross City line between Birmingham New Street and Lichfield Trent Valley was closed for three days to allow engineers to install the massive Curzon 2 viaduct near the site of the future Birmingham Curzon Street station.Rail services resumed on Monday morning after the closure from May 29 to May 31 enabled crews to carry out the complex operation. New drone footage released by HS2 shows the scale of the engineering project, with trains running beneath the structure after services restarted. The 150-metre-long viaduct will eventually carry HS2 trains into Birmingham city centre, crossing over the existing railway between Duddeston and Birmingham New Street.
