Burada konuşan İstanbul Müftü Yardımcısı Arif Cevlek, hac ibadetinin manevi önemine değinerek, hacı adaylarının Allah'ın davetine icabet ettiğini, bu yolculuğun büyük bir lütuf olduğunu söyledi. Hacı adaylarını tebrik eden Cevlek, "Rabbimizin sevdiği kullarından olmanız hasebiyle bu kutlu davete mazhar oldunuz. Cenab-ı Hakk'ın davetine 'Lebbeyk' diyerek çıkacağınız bu yolculuğun hayırlara vesile olmasını, menzilinizi mübarek kılmasını diliyorum." dedi. Hacı adaylarının ilk olarak Hz. Muhammed'in yurdu olan Medine'yi ziyaret edeceğini, bu ziyaretin manevi açıdan önemli olduğunu belirten Cevlek, sahabe hayatının da hac yolculuğunda önemli bir ilham kaynağı olması gerektiğini vurguladı. Cevlek, hacı adaylarının Mekke'de Kabe'yi tavaf ederken manevi bir arınma yaşayacağını dile getirerek, şu ifadeleri kullandı: "Cenab-ı Allah'ın 'evim' dediği Beytullah'ta yapacağınız ibadetlerle adeta hayatınızı yeniden gözden geçirecek, dualarınız, tövbeleriniz ve ibadetlerinizle 'Lebbeyk' nidalarınızla Rabbimizin affına mazhar olacaksınız. Bu yolculuk hayatınızda çıktığınız en bereketli yolculuk olacak. İnşallah bu yolculuktan, Peygamber Efendimizin müjdesinde olduğu gibi hiçbir kötülüğe bulaşmadan, Allah için haccederek, ananızdan doğduğunuz ilk gün gibi tertemiz döneceksiniz. Rabbimiz haccınızı mebrur, ibadetlerinizi makbul eylesin." Hacı adaylarından yalnızca kendileri için değil, yakınları, ülke ve İslam alemi için de dua etmelerini isteyen Cevlek, İstanbul Müftüsü Doç. Dr. Emrullah Tuncel'in hac ibadeti boyunca hacı adaylarıyla birlikte olacağını sözlerine ekledi. Hacı adaylarından Recep Kansız, basın mensuplarına yaptığı açıklamada, uzun yıllar süren bekleyişlerinin ardından 14'üncü senede hac kurasının çıktığını söyledi. Kuranın çıktığını mesajla öğrendiğini aktaran Kansız, "Çok mutlu olduk. 6 ay oldu mesaj geleli. O günden bugüne kadar kalbimiz böyle yerinden çıkıyor, çok heyecanlıyız. Hanımla beraber hacca gideceğiz." dedi. Eşi Hatice Kansız da duygularını, "Çok mutluyum. Allah herkese nasip etsin." sözleriyle dile getirdi. Hacı adaylarından Hayri Parmaksız da 14 yıldır hacca gitmeyi beklediğini kaydederek, "Çok mutlu ve huzurluyum. Mutluluğumu kelimelerle ifade edemiyorum. Kuranın sonucunu müftülükten gelen mesajla öğrendim. Sevinçten havalara uçtum." diye konuştu. Hacı adayı Mihrinisa Kaşgarlı da hem doktor olarak görev yapacağını hem de hac vazifesini ifa edeceğini söyledi. Kaşgarlı, hacı adaylarına sağlık hizmeti vermenin kendisini mutlu edeceğini dile getirerek, "İnşallah her iki hizmeti de en güzel şekliyle yerine getiririz. Üç defa umreye gittim ancak hiçbir yolculuğum bu yolculuğa benzemedi. Daha gitmeden yolun başında çok farklı." ifadelerini kullandı. Adaylardan Meral Tavlı da 13 yıl önce hacca gitmek için başvurduğunu belirterek, "Çok mutluyum. Allah herkese nasip etsin." dedi. Şahin Aktaş ise 17 senedir beklediğini kaydederek, "Tabii biraz heyecan var. Allah tüm ümmeti Muhammed'e nasip etsin." diye konuştu. Arnavutköy İlçe Müftüsü Ümit Kartal'ın yaptığı duanın ardından hacı adayları bavul ve pasaport işlemlerini tamamlayarak, kendilerini bekleyen uçağa gitti.
