A former employee of King Charles has said he's noticed a surprising detail in a new photograph of Prince Louis . Grant Harrold, who used to work as a butler for the monarch, has spoken to Reach Plc about a photograph of Prince Louis released to mark the young royal’s eighth birthday (April 23). Grant, also an author, has provided many insights into the Royal Family over the years, and has spoken not just about Louis’ birthday photograph, but the role he’ll play in the family. Speaking about the photo, he said that whilst he was not surprised the snap was taken by the sea, he guessed that it might be Norfolk , he was more taken aback that the photograph hadn’t been taken by his mother, Princess Kate . He explained: “We know that Kate and William love being by the sea, so I’m not surprised they shared a photo of him from the seaside. “I imagine it’s in Norfolk. It’s obviously somewhere quite special for them. But I’m surprised the photo hasn’t been taken by Kate, as has become their most common approach.” Addressing Louis’ role in the Royal Family going forward and what that may look like, Grant said recent changes to the line of succession meant he’ll be below his older sister Princess Charlotte , and there will be less pressure on him. He explained: “Louis is the King’s grandson, and will one day be the son of the Monarch. Changes in the laws surrounding the line of succession mean he sits behind Princess Charlotte, so he’s fourth in line to the throne and it’s very unlikely that he will ever be King. “So there isn’t as much pressure on him as there is on his older brother, George, who will be very aware of his future role by now.” Despite the fact that not being heir to the throne will mean there’s less pressure on Louis as he gets older, Grant stressed that Louis and Charlotte would still have the pressure to behave themselves as members of the Royal Family. He said: “However Louis and Charlotte still face pressure, as they will know the importance of acting and behaving like royals. They will also have to pave out futures in a new, modern family - however that’s not a concern for now.” However, Grant predicted that this wouldn’t mean one would see a change in Louis’ public demeanour and his “cheekiness”, which the author believes he inherited from the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip . Grant said: “Royal fans love Louis because of his cheekiness, and I don’t think that will change. “Of course everyone loved clips of him sticking his tongue out and mucking about on the Buckingham Palace balcony when he was younger, and we don’t see that as much any more - but there is definitely still some cheekiness there. “The late Queen and Prince Philip had that cheeky side, and you can see it in Louis.”
