Horror as four children and two adults found dead in upstate New York as the small town community searches for answers

By WILL POTTER, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 15:40, 24 June 2026 | Updated: 15:53, 24 June 2026 Four children and two adults were found dead in an upstate New York home, police say.  The horror was discovered Tuesday evening in the town of Mechanicville, around 20 miles from Albany, when police were called to the John S. Moore Homes apartment complex for a welfare check.  Mechanicville police said the callers had not heard from the residents for several days, and officers then found the four children and two adults dead inside the apartment.   Authorities have not yet revealed the identities of those who died, pending notification of their family members.  A resident in the apartment complex, Megan Reed, 38, told the Times Union that the victims were a mother, her four children, and their grandmother.
