Emergency services were called to the Sydney beachside suburb of Coogee about 11pm on Saturday after reports of an assault. Footage showed two men talking and sharing an embrace after leaving a nearby venue on Coogee Bay Road. Moments later, tensions escalated when one man slapped and punched the other, who fell backwards onto the ground. Shocked bystanders rushed to the injured man's aid. 'Call an ambulance,' a woman was heard yelling as other bystanders rolled the unconscious man onto his side. She then pushed away the alleged attacker who approached them. The alleged victim, 41, suffered head injuries and was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition. He spent the night in custody and faced court on Sunday, where his lawyer claimed that Moore had acted in self-defence. Moore was granted bail to reappear in court at a later date.
