Housing provider Wheatley Group hopes to create a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom flats within the former classrooms, offering homes for mid-market rent. The rental model is designed to sit between social housing and private sector rents. Planning documents state that the homes would be arranged around the building’s central atrium, while retaining as much of the original school layout and character as possible.
