Hilarious comeuppance for Christian TV star mom exposed as a MURDERESS as she's sent to social Siberia... and disturbing new allegation is made about name she gave her son

But the 47-year-old devout Christian's life of TV cameras and public lecterns came to a shuddering halt in May, after the Daily Mail exposed her as a murderess. Ruth, of Hollywood in Florida, was forced out of the Broward County School District's Parents Community Involvement Task Force just two years after joining.  The humiliation came after she failed to disclose her conviction for the 1996 murder of 16-year-old Christa Lewis at a carnival in suburban Philadelphia.  Ruth - then known as Deidre Frazer - was convicted of third-degree murder in June 1997.  The Daily Mail has since spoken to Lewis's mother and brother who say they are delighted to hear of Ruth's disgrace.  Deidre Ruth, pictured in 2021, is an outspoken Christian activist who appears on TV and at public meetings to push for parental rights - but she has been asked to resign from a key board position after the Daily Mail exposed her as a murderess   Ruth, then known as Deidre Frazer, knifed Christa Lewis (above) to death in Philadelphia in 1996. She failed to disclose her third-degree murder conviction when applying for a school board role   Both say they are also 'creeped out' by the name Ruth gave her own son, more of which later. After we exposed Ruth's past, school board member Adam Cervera demanded that Ruth - who is one of his former donors - hand in her resignation. 'My thoughts are this is something that should have been caught at some point by the district,' Cervera told the Sun Sentinel. 'It shouldn't have to come to fruition in a situation like that. This should have been on the books, and the district should have been vetting all of our volunteers.'  Sending Ruth further into social Siberia, Cereva highlighted that he had nothing to do with her appointment and branded her a 'rollover from my predecessor.' The ouster means that Ruth is now receiving a bitter taste of her own medicine.  Ruth, then known as Deidre Frazer, is pictured at her murder trial in Philadelphia in February 1997. Her victim's mother Joann Lewis said she adopted a demure makeover for the trial and put an inhaler on a table for jurors to see, while puffing furiously on cigarettes during each break  Ruth with her son Evan at a school board meeting in Fort Lauderdale in 2021. She was quick to judge another school board member for a past assault conviction and helped stop him assuming office, but made no mention of her own time behind bars for murder   Four years ago, she joined an online mob that successfully demanded a newly-elected school board member be banned from serving over a past conviction far less serious than her own.  Rod Velez was elected to the Broward County School board in 2022, but was not allowed to serve due to an aggravated battery conviction from 1995. Despite her own disgraceful past, Ruth was quick to shame Velez him on social media. 'If it was a non-violent crime, that would be one thing, but this is a violent charge,' Ruth wrote in November 2022, with breathtaking hypocrisy.  'Does Broward schools allow convicted felon teachers or school faculty with violent crimes? I highly doubt it. Rod should be no different than anyone else! He is a fraud!' Velez was dumped before he could be sworn in - and Ruth then got to enjoy another few years atop her high horse, until the Daily Mail exposed her appalling past.  The scandal surrounding her past has forced Broward County School District to enact level one background checks for prospective new appointees.   Christa Lewis's mother Joann Lewis and brother Bud Lewis both shared their joy at Ruth's exposure in separate interviews with the Daily Mail.   Ruth is pictured in Hollywood, Florida, in May 2026. She pretended not to know what the Daily Mail was talking about when confronted by a reporter about her past   Ruth is pictured outside a Chili's restaurant in Hollywood, Florida, in May. When approached by the Daily Mail about her conviction, the murderess gasped, fell silent and denied having any knowledge of the crime 'I'm glad she's getting some karma,' Bud said, before revealing that devout Christian Ruth had never apologized for slaughtering his sibling.  'My mom's been waiting for an apology for 30 years,' Bud told the Daily Mail, revealing that his family only learned about Ruth's new life as a Florida activist thanks to the Daily Mail. Joann Lewis branded Ruth a wolf in sheep's clothing who dressed 'like she was in Alice in Wonderland' during her murder trial, 'with flower dresses, bows in her hair and headbands.' She said Ruth would set an inhaler on the table in front of jurors to make her look more fragile, then puff on cigarettes during breaks.  Joann said: 'She ruined our lives.'  Both Bud and Joann were also deeply unsettled by Ruth's decision to name her son Evan - the same as Christa Lewis's youngest brother. Joann dismissed the possibility of a coincidence, saying: 'Bud was telling me that her son's name is Evan. I'm like, what?  'That's my son's name, and she knew like all the siblings. They were there every day. She knew everybody's name. I think that's creepy.' Ruth lives in a comfortable Florida home (pictured) with her husband and son  Bud agreed that Ruth naming her son Evan was 'creepy' and said: 'If I went and killed someone, I'm not going to name my son 20 years later the same name of the brother of that person.' Ruth introduced Evan to meetings and TV cameras and paraded him around in public while letting him be photographed.   The 47-year-old married mother-of-one, who lives in a $400,000 home, bills herself online as the head of a 'family of faith' and helps run the Broward Concerned Citizens Uncensored Facebook group.  The 'uncensored' group has gone private in the wake of Ruth's exposure. Prior to her unmasking as a murderess, she appeared before school board meetings to rail against mask mandates, woke sex education and LGBT books in schools. Ruth even traveled to the Sunshine State's Tallahassee legislature three years ago in a bid to advance her agenda.  When the Daily Mail approached Ruth's mother Dorothy Gravlin last month, she erupted and blamed her daughter's conviction on 'the Philadelphia mafia.' Bud Lewis said that allegation was nonsensical and was dreamt up by Ruth to try and encourage prejudice against his Italian-American family, who are devout Catholics.  Bud said he was disappointed that Ruth only got 11 years behind bars and also questioned her seemingly newfound faith. 'If you found Jesus, what's the first thing you do? You repent, right? You would maybe shout out, and you know, at least acknowledge my mom,' he said. The grieving brother added that Ruth's campaign work comes across as 'fake' and does not resolve her from the pain caused by Lewis' murder. He pointed to Ruth's lack of contrition as evidence that she may not be the devout Christian she likes to paint herself as.  Ruth murdered Lewis, an honor student at Tacony's St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls, as her victim attended a fun fair with a group of friends. The girls did not know each other and were in two separate groups that ended up fighting, with Ruth ultimately plunging a knife into Lewis's heart.  She was tried as an adult, claimed self-defense - and even claimed that her friends had accidentally pushed Lewis onto the blade of her knife.   A park was named in Christa Lewis's honor shortly after her death, with this mural in her honor first unveiled in 1996. She would frequently make appearances at televised school board meetings and on TV news shows  Jurors ultimately convicted Ruth of third-degree murder, meaning Ruth did not act with premeditation and specific intent to kill.  Ruth cried out 'I'll die in jail!' as the verdict was delivered. Public records show that she married husband Steven Ruth in August 2010, with the couple now sharing their comfortable home with their son.  When approached by the Daily Mail in May about her past, the murderess gasped, fell silent and denied having any knowledge of the crime.  'I do not know what you're talking about,' she said, in a stutter, clearly taken aback at having been unmasked. She refused to make eye contact and looked into the distance while trying to hide her visible shock. Ruth asked how the Daily Mail had tracked her down - but said nothing when told her foghorn brand of activism had made her a public figure for the second time in her life. The supposed Christian even lied about her past when asked about how she has seemingly turned her life around. 'I don't know what you're talking about,' she insisted.  Sadly for Ruth, the wider Broward County community now knows exactly what the Daily Mail was talking about - and has made her a pariah as a result.
