He eventually woke Tom Dalis and his family at around 4.30am, alerting them to the blaze.‌Tom, his wife and 90-year-old mother-in-law managed to get out of the property in Tustin, California just in time, before the flames took hold. Miraculously, they all escaped with minor injuries, for which Tom says his beloved pooch should be credited.‌He said: "I think we know it was because of Fillmore. Because Fillmore was barking at about 4.15am. He normally doesn't bark. He kept barking. We kept telling him, 'Fillmore, quiet, quiet.' He just kept barking and I said, 'Maybe there's something out there.'...
