"This arrival reflects the growing confidence of international shipping lines in Gwadar Port," Gwadar Port Authority Chairman Noorul Haq Baloch said, emphasising that the facility is "rapidly advancing in global trade due to its modern infrastructure and efficient logistics systems." Port authorities moved swiftly to begin unloading operations, adhering strictly to the scheduled timeline, with officials confirming that the process remained uninterrupted. "All operations are being carried out in a highly professional manner without any disruption," a port official noted, underlining operational readiness. The government, meanwhile, is keen to translate maritime activity into broader economic gains. Baloch urged local investors to seize the opportunity presented by the Gwadar Free Zone, stating that "incentives and facilities are being offered to encourage industrial development, boost the local economy and generate employment." Recent data from port authorities supports this optimism, showing a marked increase in cargo handling, trans-shipment and general trade flows over the past few months - trends attributed largely to ongoing development projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
