US Capitol Police vehicles swarmed a Ford Bronco SUV in the leadup to the arrest. 'We just arrested a man at the North Barricade of the US Capitol who had a firearm. Firearms are prohibited on Capitol Grounds,' the police said in a statement. 'The North Barricade will be closed while the USCP investigates. Our investigators are working to learn more about the suspect and why he drove to the US Capitol.' Other reports indicated that the vehicle also contained a dog.
