Hier, Donald Trump a affirmé une nouvelle fois que l'Iran discutait d'un accord de paix avec Washington, une affirmation niée par Téhéran en raison de la crainte, selon le président américain, des dirigeants iraniens chargés de "négocier" de se faire "tuer par les leurs". "Ils négocient, ils veulent vraiment conclure un accord. Mais ils ont peur de le dire, parce qu'ils pensent que sinon, ils vont se faire tuer par les leurs", a déclaré Donald Trump devant des élus républicains du Congrès. L'Iran n'a "pas l'intention de négocier" mais "de continuer à résister", a affirmé de son côté le ministre iranien des Affaires étrangères Abbas Araghchi à la télévision d'État.
