The GP, who has been operating the no-fee medical centre in Australia's densest public housing suburb, Waterloo, for four decades, is now charged with assaulting or sexually touching eight female patients, including one from the age of 15. Dr Andrew Small was initially released from police custody in May, when the general practitioner was held overnight in police cells after being charged with five offences against four female patients. NSW Police re-arrested him, took him to Mascot Police Station, and laid five further charges, including alleged offences against the patient who was 15 years old.  The offences include three charges of aggravated sexual touching of another person and one of aggravated sexual intercourse with a person aged 14 to 16. He is also charged with one count of aggravated indecency with a person aged 16 and under authority.  Dr Small has practised at Waterloo Medical Centre since 1987 and lives in a luxury home with a swimming pool at Bellevue Hill, one of Sydney's most expensive suburbs.  Court documents seen by the Daily Mail allege Dr Small 'did have sexual intercourse with (a female) person 14 years and under 16 years' when he was aged 55 in 2011.  A GP who lives in a $12million mansion in Sydney's east has been hit with more indecency and sexual assault charges relating to female patients at his longtime bulk-billing practice Dr Andrew Small has practised as a GP at Waterloo Medical Centre in Sydney's densest public housing suburb for 40 years and is now charged with sexual offences allegedly committed against eight women since 1998 Police have laid a further five charges against Dr Small, including allegations of aggravated sexual intercourse with a person aged 14 to 16 He is charged with sexually touching the same female, committing an act of indecency on another girl aged 'above 16' while she was in his care in 2011. He also allegedly sexually touched two other female patients, last year and in January this year. The fresh charges follow his arrest at 6am on May 14, when police raided Waterloo Medical Centre and took the 70-year-old GP into custody and charged him with sexually assaulting four patients between 1998 and March 2026. Dr Small spent the night in custody before appearing in court via video link from the cells on three charges of aggravated sexual assault of a victim under the authority of the offender. He was also charged with one count of aggravated indecent assault of a victim under authority and one count of sexual assault knowing consent was not given. During a bail hearing, the police prosecutor told the court they had a 'strong case' against Dr Small and urged the judge to deny him bail. 'These are offences committed by a person in a position of trust, a doctor working on patients,' Sergeant Chris Manning said. He told the court that one of the alleged victims had told police she went to Dr Small for stomach pain and was sexually assaulted. He was re-arrested and charged with five further allegations of indecent and sexual assault of patients at his Waterloo practice 'I would submit that falls well outside of what ordinary practice would be,' Sergeant Manning told the court.   The court heard Dr Small was subject to a Health Care Complaints Commission investigation in 2012 and was allowed to keep practising. The GP's defence lawyer Troy Edwards told the court his client did not have a criminal history and will fight the charges. Dr Small was granted bail on the condition that he does not continue practising medicine and does not enter Waterloo Medical Centre. He surrendered his passport and must report twice a week to police. His bail conditions say he is 'not to enter any other place where medical advice or intervention' unless it is for his own treatment and 'is not to give medical advice, treatment or assessment to any person'.
