antrenör idaresinde ulusal ve uluslararası arenada birçok önemli başarıya imza attı. Kulüp tarihinde kazanılan 42 kupanın 31'inin altına imzasını atan Guidetti, rekorunu geliştirmek ve VakıfBank müzesine yeni kupa eklemek için CEV Şampiyonlar Ligi Dörtlü Finali'ni bekliyor. Guidetti, bir başka Türk temsilcisi Eczacıbaşı Dynavit'in yanı sıra İtalyan takımları A. Carraro Imoco ile Savino Del Bene'nin mücadele edeceği Dörtlü Final'de başarı kovalayacak. Organizasyon, 2-3 Mayıs tarihlerinde Ülker Spor ve Etkinlik Salonu'nda düzenlenecek. VakıfBank, tarihinde kazandığı 42 kupanın 31'ini İtalyan başantrenör Giovanni Guidetti yönetiminde kazandı. Sarı-siyahlı takım, şu ana kadar 4 FIVB Dünya Kulüpler Şampiyonası, 6 CEV Şampiyonlar Ligi, 1 CEV Top Teams Kupası, 1 CEV Challenge Kupası, birleştiği Güneş Sigorta ile 15 Türkiye Ligi, 10 Türkiye Kupası ve 5 Türkiye Şampiyonlar Kupası şampiyonluğu yaşadı. VakıfBank, bu kupaların 31'ine Giovanni Guidetti idaresinde ulaştı. Sarı-siyahlı ekibin ayrıca uluslararası arenada elde ettiği 12 kupanın 10'unda Guidetti'nin imzası bulunuyor. Kariyerine Volley 2000 Spezzano'da başlayan ve daha sonra İtalya'da Vicenza, Reggio Emilia, Modena ve Chieri gibi ekipleri çalıştıran Giovanni Guidetti; Bulgaristan, Almanya ve Hollanda kadın milli takımlarında da başantrenörlük yaptı. VakıfBank'ta 18. yılını geçiren İtalyan başantrenör Giovanni Guidetti, uluslarararası alanda 10 şampiyonluk yaşadı. Sarı-siyahlı takım, Guidetti'nin göreve başladığı 2008-2009 sezonundan bu yana CEV Şampiyonlar Ligi'nde 6, FIVB Kulüpler Dünya Şampiyonası'nda ise 4 kez kupayı kaldırmayı başardı. Ligde toplam 15 şampiyonluğu bulunan sarı-siyahlı takım, bu sezon ligdeki play-off final serisinde Fenerbahçe Medicana'ya 3-2 üstünlük kurdu ve mutlu sona ulaştı. VakıfBank, geçen sezon da Fenerbahçe'yi play-off final serisinde yenerek şampiyon olmuştu. Giovanni Guidetti, FIVB Dünya Kulüpler Şampiyonası ile CEV Şampiyonlar Ligi'nde en fazla şampiyonluk kazanan başantrenör ünvanını taşıyor. VakıfBank, FIVB Dünya Kulüpler Şampiyonası'nı 4, CEV Şampiyonlar Ligi'ni de 2001 yılından itibaren yeni formatta 6 kez kazandı. Sarı-siyahlılar, bu organizasyonlarda en fazla şampiyonluk yaşayan takım ünvanını elde ederken, Giovanni Guidetti de bu başarıyı yaşayan ilk başantrenör olarak tarihteki yerini aldı. Giovanni Guidetti, A Milli Kadın Voleybol Takımı ile de birçok başarı yaşadı.
