GB News opens up 32% lead over Sky News & 22% over BBC News Channel to cement its position as Britain's number one news channel

GB News has cemented its position as Britain's number one news channel after opening up a commanding lead over both the BBC News Channel and Sky News.
Latest BARB figures show the People's Channel secured an average audience of 99,200 in May, up 10.8 per cent on April, and comfortably ahead of its nearest competitors.
In stark contrast, the BBC News Channel fell 15.1 per cent month-on-month to 81,500, while Sky News dropped 13.1 per cent to 75,000.
The result leaves GB News firmly in front of its rivals, finishing the month 21.7 per cent ahead of the BBC News Channel and 32.3 per cent ahead of Sky News.

The ratings success came during a dramatic month in British politics, marked by the resignation of Wes Streeting, the announcement of a by-election in Makerfield, the continuing fallout from the Peter Mandelson scandal and revelations surrounding Peter Murrell in Scotland.
Commenting, GB News' Head of Programming Ben Briscoe, said: "These latest figures confirm GB News as Britain's number one news channel.
"May was one of the most significant months in UK politics for years and viewers turned to the People's Channel for breaking news, robust debate and sharp analysis of the stories shaping the nation.
"The continued growth of GB News reflects our commitment to putting viewers first. While other broadcasters continue to lose audience share, more people are choosing GB News because we focus on the issues that matter most to communities across the United Kingdom."
From Breakfast through the afternoon and into prime time, GB News recorded audience growth across both weekdays and weekends.
