GB News Daily Reflection — Wednesday 3rd June 2026
In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we remeber how the Nicene Creed describes the Christian doctrine of the Trinity as a mystery of one God revealed in three persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
It emphasises that this divine relationship is characterised by perfect unity, love and the ongoing work of creation, redemption and renewal.
“The Nicene Creed speaks of one God yet known in three persons father, son, and Holy Spirit. This is not a puzzle to be solved, but a mystery to be received. One divine life shared in perfect unity and relationship.
“The father is often described as the source. The one who begets the origin without origin in theological language is described as an apple not made or derived. From him flows the life of the Trinity.
“The son is begotten of the father, not created, but eternally from him, and the Holy Spirit proceeds the living presence given to the world. The son is sent by the father and returned to the father, and from that relationship the Holy Spirit is given.
“The Trinity is not distant or abstract. It's a relationship of love shared, flowing, and active. “As Saint Augustine once wrote, if you see love, you see the Trinity. It is within the divine life, the creation, redemption, the renewal that is held together.
“Let us pray. Holy Trinity, father, son, Holy Spirit, draw us into the life of your love. Help us to live in unity and reflect in your grace in all that we do. Amen and amen.”
