GB News Daily Reflection — Sunday 17th May 2026
In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we remember the disciples waiting in Jerusalem after Jesus Christ’s ascension as an example of faithful patience.
Their example shows that periods of uncertainty and waiting can become moments in which trust, courage and spiritual growth are formed before God’s promises are fulfilled.
“Jesus leads his disciples with a promise power from on high. Yet he also gives them a simple instruction to wait. Not to act immediately, not to scatter, but to remain in Jerusalem.
“Their waiting became a quiet act of belief. This moment sits between Ascension and Pentecost, between promise and fulfilment. It's a space many recognise when something has been spoken but not yet seen.
“The disciples show that faith is not only in action, but in patient expectation.”
