In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we remember the verse "Jesus wept" from the story of Lazarus of Bethany emphasises that Jesus Christ is not distant from human suffering but shares in grief and pain, offering both compassion and hope even in life’s darkest moments.

"The moment happens at the tomb of Lazarus when Jesus Christ arrives. He knows probably that he's about to raise Lazarus from the dead, and he knows that a miracle is coming.

"And yet when he sees the death of a friend and the grief of Mary and those mourning, he weeps that matters. It tells us that Jesus is not distant from our suffering.

"He's not cold or unmoved. Even perhaps knowing the outcome, he enters into the pain of the moment. He feels the weight of loss. He shares in the human sorrow for anyone walking through grief, disappointment, sickness, sadness or heartbreak, this verse speaks to us.

"God is not indifferent to your tears. The one who has powerover death still pauses to cry. Hope does not cancel. Grief. Jesus holds both deep compassion and divine power. This first Jesus wept means that you are not alone in your suffering.

"He stands beside you in hospital rooms, at grave sides, in sleepless nights, in private battles that no one else sees. He does not rush past you in your pain. He meets you in it.

"He is not distant from your pain, and nor did he cause it. He steps right into it and meets you there. And just as he did at Lazarus tomb, he brings a hope into places that feel final.

"So if you are hurting today, remember the Savior who can overcome death is also the Savior who weeps with you."
