"At around 10pm we stopped them coming in," a member of staff said. "One took out a belt and tried to hit people with it."‌The gang left a back door damaged after trying to enter the premises through it, the employee added.‌A witness told how "multiple people" suffered minor facial injuries in the attack, after a group of around five people, who had been at the pub before, attacked smokers outside "without known reason or cause".Armed police were then called in, the witness said, followed by regular officers who began speaking to anyone who watched the chaos unfold, reports Cornwall Live.Article continues belowThis is a breaking news story.
