Avrupa Ligi'nde bu sezon 17 müsabaka oynayan Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring, 14 galibiyet ve 3 mağlubiyet yaşadı. Grup müsabakaları öncesinde çıktığı 2 eleme maçından da galibiyetle ayrılan Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring, ilk tur B Grubu'nu 6'da 6 yaparak lider tamamladı. İkinci turda mücadele ettiği E Grubu'nu ise 4 galibiyet ve 2 yenilgi yaşayan sarı-kırmızılı ekip, yarı final play-in turunda yer alma hakkı elde etti. Bu turda ise Fransa'nın Basket Landes takımını 2-1'lik seriyle geçen sarı-kırmızılılar, organizasyonda adını 3. kez final etabına yazdırdı. Galatasaray, daha önce bir kez final oynadığı FIBA Kadınlar Avrupa Ligi'nde bir kupaya sahip. Ligde 2013-2014 sezonunda finalde Fenerbahçe'yi mağlup eden sarı-kırmızılı takım, tarihinde ilk kez final oynadığı turnuvada şampiyonluğa uzanmış ve Avrupa Ligi'nde şampiyon olan ilk Türk takımı ünvanının sahibi olmuştu. Sarı-kırmızılı takım, 1998-1999 sezonunda ise 3. oldu. Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring, FIBA Kadınlar Avrupa Ligi 6'lı Final organizasyonun yarı finalinde İspanya temsilcisi Casademont Zaragoza ile karşı karşıya gelecek. Elemelerin ardından turnuvada ilk tur D Grubu'nu üçüncü, 2. tur F Grubu'nu ise dördüncü sırada tamamlayan Casademont Zaragoza, çeyrek final play-in turunda USK Prag'ı eleyerek adını 6'lı Final'e yazdırdı. Çeyrek finalde Fransa'nın Basket Landes takımını 69-53 yenen İspanyol ekibi, yarı finalde Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring'in rakibi oldu.
