From lucrative brand deals with Walker's Shortbread and Albert Bartlett potatoes to TV adverts and a luxury hotel... how Andy Murray has continued building his £110million fortune even after hanging up his racket

By KATHERINE LAWTON, SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 11:16, 23 July 2026 | Updated: 11:16, 23 July 2026 By the time Sir Andy Murray hung up his racket at the Paris Olympics in 2024, he had already amassed a fortune incomprehensible to most.  But that has not stopped the tennis legend, 39, building his business empire, which was worth more than £21million the year after his retirement.  The three-time Grand Slam winner has earned huge sums through a string of lucrative merchandising and sponsorship deals, as well as property investments. His overall fortune is reported to be around £110million - significantly higher than that of his fellow tennis pro brother Jamie Murray, 40, whose wealth is estimated at £4.5million.  Jamie was the first British tennis player to be crowned world number one at doubles - the same season his younger brother became the highest ranked singles player. Asked if Sir Andy has given him any advice, Jamie said: 'No, not really, but I think we're in different situations financially. What we can and can't do in retirement.' He added: 'Hopefully you'll see a lot more of me because I need to work a lot more than Andy.'    Since retiring from the sport, Sir Andy has become a brand ambassador for a number of products including Walker's Shortbread, Albert Bartlett potatoes, pet food firm Purina and footwear company Hylo. This represents an increase of more than £1.4million from the year before, when the value of the firm was £20million. The latest accounts show the firm has total assets of £22million which include a £13.4million investment portfolio, more than £8.1million owed by debtors and almost £500,000 held in a bank account. The accounts, which cover the period up to March 31, 2025, state the company owed £169,410 to creditors. Sir Andy changed the name of the company from Parched Investments to 77 Management to mark him becoming the first British male in 77 years to win Wimbledon in 2013. The London-based company also controls the Cromlix hotel near his home town of Dunblane, Perthshire. Sir Andy bought the hotel in 2013 for almost £2million. The money held in the company, which has one full-time employee, is thought to represent only part of Sir Andy's total net worth. The Scot, who won Wimbledon and defended his Olympic gold medal in the men's singles during 2016, has career prize money totalling around £50million, taking home £12.4million in 2016 alone. In a Hylo advert, he appears in a parody press conference in which the microphones fail to work and the stage falls apart. His Albert Bartlett commercial sees him dashing around the kitchen to make chips after his wife Kim tells him he is on dinner duties. However, Sir Andy has confessed he finds acting in the adverts harder than playing at Wimbledon. Speaking in May, he said: 'If you're a professional athlete obviously you get nervous but there is a confidence in your ability to play tennis at the highest level. 'Whereas where you're being asked to act in front of other actors and extras it can be pretty awkward.' Sir Andy and his wife recently used some of his wealth to buy a £2million historic mansion close to his childhood home in Stirlingshire.
