Fresh details of veteran broadcaster Alan Jones's alleged offending against six men revealed just days before he fights the claims in court

He is set to fight the allegations during a four-month hearing beginning on August 3.  Some details of the allegations outlined by prosecutors can now be made public after a non-publication order was lifted at a pre-trial hearing on Wednesday.  Jones's lawyers sought to keep the non-publication order in place, arguing that media coverage of the high-profile case may prejudice the judge-only trial. However, this was dismissed by Judge Glenn Walsh, who told the court 'there is no jury panel to be prejudiced', according to ABC News. 'No material has been presented to show that any media reporting to date has not been fair and accurate,' he said. The judge also ruled earlier this week that tendency and coincidence evidence could be admitted in the trial. During the hearing, prosecutors revealed new details about the claims from some of the men, which can now be reported.  Radio veteran Alan Jones has pleaded not guilty to 22 charges of indecent assault and sexual touching against six men  He is set to fight the allegations during a four-month hearing beginning on August 3 The alleged offences between 2003 and 2020 occurred at Jones's CBD and NSW Southern Highlands properties, a Sydney restaurant and various functions across the city, according to the ABC. Jones faces eight charges relating to one alleged male victim known as Complainant C, whom Jones allegedly kissed and touched several times.  In one alleged incident, this occurred in the lift at the broadcaster's Macquarie Street CBD apartment, the court was told. The prosecution will allege Jones placed his hand on the man's crotch while Complainant C was driving on a different occasion.  Complainant C is also expected to allege he felt Jones's hand on his upper thigh and crotch area during a lunch.  Prosecutors allege the man told Jones 'no, no' and moved his head to the side to avoid a kiss during one incident. The complainant allegedly claimed on several occasions that he had a throat or mouth illness to avoid a kiss, the court heard. Jones faces nine charges in relation to another alleged victim, known as Complainant J, who was allegedly given a mobile phone and asked to visit Jones's apartment, the court heard.  Prosecutors allege that, in one incident, Jones allegedly gave Complainant J a 'squeeze' and 'peck' on the mouth, and said: 'I love you mate'. The former 2GB host has said the charges are 'all either baseless or they distort the truth' Jones's lawyers argued media coverage could prejudice the judge-only trial, but the court dismissed their application to keep the non-publication order  On a separate occasion, Jones allegedly touched Complainant J's penis under his clothes while driving to the broadcaster's NSW Southern Highlands farm, the court was told.  There, prosecutors allege Jones committed other acts of indecent assault, including masturbating his penis while touching the man.  A third man, referred to as Complainant I, was allegedly kissed on the corner of his mouth by Jones at an event, prosecutors said.  The man claimed he received a text message from Jones stating a sentiment similar to 'I want to be kissing you all night long'.  The man alleges that, on a separate occasion, Jones pushed his genitalia into the complainant's body during a kiss at his home on an unspecified date between 2018 and 2020. A fourth man, Complainant A, alleges he was touched on the backside and kissed by Jones at the broadcaster's Southern Highlands property.  A fifth man alleged Jones sexually touched him on the backside and back without consent at a function. Judge Walsh said Jones 'has the presumption of innocence' while dismissing the non-publication order. 'It is the prosecution that bears the onus of proof throughout, beyond reasonable doubt, for each element of each offence as charged,' he said. Jones was first charged in 2024, years after retiring from a broadcasting career that began in 1985.  During his decades on air, he developed a reputation for tough interviews and dividing audiences with his outspoken views. Jones worked at Sydney radio station 2UE before joining rival 2GB, remaining a leading figure in talkback radio until 2020. He coached the Australian Wallabies rugby union team between 1984 and 1988 and made an unsuccessful attempt to enter politics.  Jones has always maintained his innocence.
