toplantısının ardından basına yaptığı açıklamada akaryakıt yardımlarına ilişkin değerlendirmede bulundu. Sözcü Bregeon, Orta Doğu'daki krizin akaryakıt fiyatlarında neden olduğu artış karşısında krizden en çok etkilenen sektörlere yaklaşık 4 aydır yapılan ve 31 Ağustos'ta sonlanacak olan yardımların uzatılabileceğinin sinyalini verdi. Bregeon, "Hükümet en fazla akaryakıt tüketen ve (krizden) en çok etkilenen sektörlere yapılan yardımların yenilenmesine çalışıyor." ifadelerini kullandı. Fransa'da, ABD-İsrail'in İran'a saldırılarıyla başlayan savaş nedeniyle akaryakıt fiyatlarında yaşanan artışa karşı hükümet, kara yolu taşımacılığı dahil balıkçılık ve tarım sektörlerinde bu artıştan en çok etkilenen kesimler için 70 milyon avroluk yardım paketi açıklamıştı. İlk başta yardımların "nisan ayıyla sınırlı, sektör bazlı, hedef odaklı ve kademeli" olacağı belirtilmiş ancak fiyatlarda beklenen düşüşün yaşanmaması üzerine uygulamanın süresi belli aralıklarla uzatılmıştı.
