Tigers manager A.J. Hinch also received a one-game suspension and undisclosed fine as a result of what MLB called “Valdez’s intentional actions.” Hinch will serve the suspension Wednesday. Valdez’s suspension will also begin Wednesday unless the pitcher decides to appeal. If Valdez elects to appeal, the discipline will be held in abeyance until the process is complete.
