Forward Mouhamed Dioubate will be on the third SEC team of his collegiate career, but the LSU Tigers are hoping he's found the place where he'll finally reach his potential. Dioubate is a former four-star recruit who committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide out of high school. He was ranked as the No. 22 power forward in the 2023 class, according to 247Sports. Dioubate spent two seasons playing for Nate Oats at Alabama before transferring to the Kentucky Wildcats for the 2025-26 season. Checking in at 6-foot-7, 220 pounds, the big man entered the transfer portal again after this past season, and now he's wound up in Baton Rouge. Dioubate committed to LSU via the transfer portal on Monday. He's Will Wade's first transfer portal commit since he became the Tigers coach (again) on March 26. He shot 54.2% from the field, and while he shot only 21.4% from three-point range, it's worth noting that he showed some three-point shooting prowess at Alabama. In 2024-25 with the Tide, he shot 46.2% from deep on 26 long-ball attempts. In Kentucky's NCAA Tournament opening round game against Santa Clara, Dioubate notched 17 points, eight rebounds, three blocks, one assist and a steal. That's the type of potential he now brings to the table for LSU. Andrew Kulha is probably the only sports writer you know who also doubles as a mortician.
