Football Australia calls for government to reverse World Cup screening ban in Melbourne

Football Australia has criticised the decision for World Cup matches to not be screened at Melbourne’s Federation Square, and called for it to be reversed.Katrina Sedgwick, CEO and director of Melbourne Arts Precinct, which governs Federation Square, said on Wednesday that Australia’s matches at this summer’s World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico would not be screened at the venue due to the behaviour of a “small number of people” which was “simply unacceptable and damaging to Fed Square”.Advertisement
