Heavy fog means planes unable to land in Faroes
Polish team have been trying to reach Vágar for two days
The Europa League second leg between Poland’s champions Lech Poznan and the Faroese champions KÍ Klaksvík on Thursday evening is at risk, with the Polish team struggling to reach the Faroe Islands on time due to heavy fog.
Lech won 1-0 in the first leg in Poznan after a late goal from Ivorian striker Yannick Agnero, but are locked in a race against time to reach the islands for Thursday’s return leg, scheduled for 6.30pm local time.
