FM6SS Launches Advanced Hub to Integrate Genomics, Patient Care in Rabat
Agadir – The Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health (FM6SS) launched a new precision medicine hub within the Mohammed VI International University Hospital Complex on Thursday, April 2 in Rabat.
Minister of Health, Amine Tehraoui, and Minister of Higher Education, Azzeddine El Midaoui, attended the ceremony of inauguration alongside numerous institutional and academic representatives.
FM6SS said in a press statement that this project is a major step and strategic investment in personalized medicine, placing scientific and technological innovation at the core of patient care.
The advanced infrastructure allows delivering individualized healthcare by conducting an integrative analysis of clinical, biological, and genomic data.
“The Precision Medicine Hub is a multidisciplinary medical-technical platform designed to enable individualized patient care based on the integrated analysis of clinical, biological, and genomic data,” FM6SS’s statement read.
Leveraging advanced technology from genomics and bioinformatics, the Precision Medicine Hub facilitates all aspects of care, from accurate diagnosis, precise therapy decision-making to personalized follow-up.

The hub is integrated within the Mohammed VI Center for Research and Innovation (CM6RI), serving as a bridge between basic research, translational studies, and clinical practice.
“This convergence accelerates the development of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic solutions, while promoting scientific output, talent development, and the emergence of high-value collaborations at both national and international levels,” FM6SS further explained.
The project strives to strengthen the country’s position in clinical research and biomedical innovation, by leveraging genomic data to improve diagnostic accuracy and optimize treatment strategies.
It also aims to “democratize access to advanced medical technologies, while structuring an integrated ecosystem associating clinical, academic and industrial actors.”
